CD The Reprogramming of the SubConscious Mind:

The cd was recorded at a Noetic Science group. Gene speaks in great detail about the programming of our subconscious mind. The talked centers around the three parts to our mind: right brain and left brain or the ego and the Holy Spirit part of our mind and the third part is what the Course refers to as the "decision marker" or what scientists call the membrain. This membrain is nothing more than a file system of all the thoughts we ever had. We have approximately 64,000 thoughts a day. So you multiply that by 365 and the number of years you have been on this planet and you have a pretty big system of files. Gene shows you how to delete these files so we can get our conscious mind and our subconscious mind to work together.

In my initial study of A COURSE IN MIRACLES I had great difficulty understanding its content, because I was applying my old, traditional definitions to the words. Although this is a natural tendency, understanding the concepts present in the Course is almost impossible until you learn the COURSE'S unique meanings for many words. As I began to understand the true meaning of the words, I was then able to comprehend the concepts embodied in the COURSE as a whole.

In my work, I came to appreciate that the traditional Judeo-Christian words in the COURSE sound familiar to new students, but the context in which the words are written forces the reader to re-examine what those words mean. There is a kind of dissonant jolt that pushes readers to move beyond their old ways of thinking. It then presents new rules to change the relationship from special/conditional love to a holy/unconditional love.
